Apple has released a new Podcasts app for free on the App Store for iPhone,iPad and iPod Touch.It was rumored earlier that Apple will release a new standalone Podcast app in iOS 6.

Users can now search, download or stream podcasts directly from the app.A new feature Top Station enables users to find a new podcast series from various topics which includes music, arts, sports business and others.

The app is compatible with iOS 5.1 and above.To optionally sync episodes of podcasts users will be required to run iTunes 10.6.3 or above on their Mac or PC and to stream or download episodes you need Wi-Fi or a cellular data connection.
