Apple’s Education Event live can be watched on live blogs and streams.Apple will be holding a special media event on 19th January in New York City.

Apple has sent invitations to press for the “education event” which will take place at Guggenheim Museum at 10am Eastern Time.It is being said that the event will focus on Apple’s iTunes University program.

Apple’s Senior VP, Eddy Cue who heads Apple’s content stores which also includes iTunes, iBooks, App Store, iAd, and iCloud is expected to be present.It is to be noted that last year Apple had unveiled The Daily- which is iPad newspaper.

What to expect from Apple’s Education event

Apple could be talking about digital textbooks as Steve Jobs had wanted to enter the space of digital textbooks by hiring some great writers, role of iPad in education for students and might even opt for cheaper iPad for students.

Some reports also suggest that Apple might unveil a self-publishing platform for iBooks.New York has been chosen for the event because of it is near to major textbook publishers.There is however no news of announcement of any new harware.
