Google has launched its own Cloud Storage known as Google Drive and will be offering 5GB of free space to users for signing up.Google Drive is like iCloud and SkyDrive.
Google is offering 5GB of storage for free, users can upgrade to 25GB which will cost $2.49 per month, 100GB space for $4.99 per month and 1TB space for $49.99 per month.Users will be able to store videos, photos, PDF files and other documents and share them easily and has in-built Google docs.You will be able to create and edit any file in real-time,search by keyword and using Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology Google Drive can also recognize text in scanned documents.
Google Drive is now available a download for PC, Mac and Android.Google Drive for iOS will be available soon.
According to Google Official blog-
Drive is “built to work seamlessly with your overall Google experience,” which means that users can attach photos to Drive to posts in Google+, and will soon be able to attach files from Drive directly to emails in Gmail. Google also says that Drive is an open platform, and that it is working with third-party developers to allow users to “send faxes, edit videos, and create website mockups directly from Drive.”
