Download iBooks 2 For iPad – Reinvent The Textbooks
Apple has reinvented textbooks by releasing download iBooks 2 for iPad from App Store in a Media event at New York’s Guggenheim Museum.
Phil Schiller who is Apple’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide Product Marketing at the Media Event said that the current textbooks are not interactive and dynamic.With iBooks for iPad students will be able to download interactive textbooks from the iBookstore.It offers students with summaries of chapter and multiple choice tests, students will be able to highlight text and take notes.Currently McGraw-Hill and Pearson are offering textbooks via iBooks for US customers only.
Apple’s Roger Rosner demonstrated how iBooks works- 3D models of various structures , multi-touch gestures, titles of books can be in both portrait and landscape mode, can pinch in photos of text books, images from digital text books can be shown as full screen just by tapping the iPad screen, images in gallery can be swiped.
