iOS 7.1 is being jailbroken untethered by a hacker named Winocm. Winocm has posted a video of iOS 7.1 booting untethered on iPhone 4 most probably.
Untethered jailbreak means that you don’t require to boot your iOS device using computer every time you reboot your device.
It seems that the first untethered iOS 7.1 jailbreak works only on older devices, as older devices are easier to hack as compared to A5 and A6 devices.
Apple has patched vulnerabilities in iOS 7.1 which is used for Evasi0n7 jailbreak, hence it is best that jailbreakers should avoid upgrading to iOS 7.1.
The YouTube video by winocm reveals the iOS 7.1 jailbreak running on the older A4 device most likely iPhone 4. The demo video however does not shows Cydia.

There is also a good news regarding untethered jailbreak for A5 and A6 devices running on the latest iOS firmware, as iH8sn0w tweets,” @winocm does this mean I have to bust out my camera and shoot an untethered 7.1 A5 boot? :P”
