Samsung released the much hyped smartphone Galaxy S4 which made headlines by selling more than 10 million units in its first month of availability. However, recent reports claims that iPhone 5 is the best selling handset in the UK, maybe it is because the iPhone 5 is still very competitive in price. According to the recent press release by uSwitch Mobile Tracker which compiled top 10 smartphones for the month of May, iPhone 5 took the number one position, iPhone 4S 16GB is at number 2 while Samsung Galaxy S4 was in number 3 position in the UK. Galaxy S4 was available for first full one month in the month of May.
Other Samsung devices included in top 10 are – Galaxy S3 in 5th place, whereas Galaxy Ace, Galaxy S2 and Galaxy S3 Mini held 8th, 9th and 10th places respectively. uSwitch mobile tracker tool uses data from live searches, pre-orders and sales to compile list of the top selling smartphones every month.
iPhone 5 has a 4-inch Retina display, is thinner and faster with in-built iOS 6, has A6 chip, dual Core Processor and 8 hours of battery life in LTE and a rear camera of 8 MP whereas Galaxy S4 is 5 inch Super AMOLED display, powered by Octa-core Exynos processor at 1.6GHz, 2GB RAM, 13-megapixel rear camera and a 1.9-megapixel front camera and has storage of 16/32/64GB.
Apple announced iOS 7 for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Apple TV along with revealing few changes to MacBook Air at Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2013). Though Cupertino has not revealed about any new iPhone and iPad but it is expected that Apple may launch the new iPhone 5S this year with iPhone 6 to arrive not earlier than 2014.
