Apple launched iPhone 5 at a Media event in San Francisco in US, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Japan, Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong and was launched in 22 countries on 28th September. Apple has sold more than 5 millions of iPhone 5 in first week of its launch.
Tim Cook, CEO of Apple said on 24th September, ” Demand for iPhone 5 has been incredible and we are working hard to get an iPhone 5 into the hands of every customer who wants one as quickly as possible.”
In India iPhone 5 price at Ebay.in is 59,990 INR for 16GB whereas a 32GB will cost 67,990 INR and for 32GB iPhone 5 you will have to pay a whopping 76,990 INR. Official launch of iPhone 5 is yet to take place.

1. Weight and Thickness –
iPhone 5 is just 7.6mm think as compared to iPhone 4S which is 9.3mm thick. The new iPhone is also lighter (3.95 ounces) than old one. While this makes one of the thinnest and lightest phones yet, some users have found it tough to handle this phone. Many users in the early days have reported that they felt that the phone is so thin that they felt they might break it if they grabbed it hard.
2. Display –

4. Processor –

5. Battery –
The latest iPhone has an amazing stand-by battery life of 225 hours as compared to 200 hours ofr iPhone 4S.

iPhone 4S had 2 microphones. The issue with this arrangement is that this system catches a lot of noise in the surrounding. iPhone5 in comparison has 3 microphones. These microphones are smaller that the 2 microphones in 4S. They are places on the phone in such a way that the noise from the surrounding is not captured. This improved the voice quality by leaps and bounds.
7. Connector –
iPhone 4S had conventional 30pin connector. iPhone 5 has a ultra small 8pin connector.
8. Price –
No doubt Apple knows how to price their products. New iPhone ($199 for 16GB) is almost double the price of iPhone 4S($99 for 16GB). Other versions of iPhone cost $299 for the 32GB and $399 for the 64GB.
