6 Ways To Fix Personal Hotspot Missing In iPhone, iPad

Personal Hotspot feature lets you to share your iPhone internet with other devices. Many users however are finding that Personal Hotspot missing in iPhone, iPad.

Personal Hotspot missing in iPhone 5, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus or iPad is not un-common, sometimes Personal Hotspot goes missing after iOS update. Make sure that your network carrier supports Personal Hotspot feature and is enabled. If you are still facing Personal Hotspot missing in iPhone, iPad, here’s how to fix the issue in various ways.

1.  Update APN Settings

If Personal Hotspot is missing on iPhone 5, iPhone 6 and above make sure that mobile data is enabled.

Launch Settings app on your iPhone .

Tap on Cellular.

Tap the Cellular Data.

Navigate to Personal Hotspot , enter the same APN settings as the cellular data APN.

Go back to Settings you will be able to see Personal Hotspot in iPhone, iPad.

 

2Reset Network Settings

If you unable to fix the issue try Reset Network Settings.

Open “Settings”.

Tap on “General” and then on “Reset”.

Now, Click on “Reset Network Settings”.

 

3. Update Carrier Settings 

Still unable to find missing Personal Hotspot in iPhone, check whether there are any carrier settings update.

Launch “Settings” app and tap “General”.

Tap on “About”.

 

4. Restart iPhone

Sometimes restarting iPhone can solve simple iPhone issues,

Press and hold the sleep/wake button.

Slide the slider to turn off the iPhone while waiting for few seconds.

Press and hold the sleep/wake button again until the Apple logo appears on the screen.

 

5. Restore iPhone

Try restoring your iPhone, iPad to factory settings to solve missing Personal Hotspot issue. Make sure to take a backup before you try to restore.

Open iTunes and connect your iPhone using USB cable.

Click on the iPhone icon.

Click on “Restore iPhone” in the “Summary section”

Choose to “back up” settings before restoring.

Now, click on Restore.

Wait for a while, iPhone will be restored as new.

 

6. Contact Network Operator

If Personal Hotspot is still missing, try to contact your network operator to fix the issue.
