Apple will be holding iTunes Festival 2014 at SXSW for the first time. Apple has been holding iTunes Festival since 2007 in London, United Kingdom. The Annual festival which initially started as one week event used to run for the whole month in London.
More than 400 artists have performed live for the iTunes festival for more than 430,000 spectators.
iTunes Festival 2014 will run from 11th March to 15th March where popular artists Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, Pitbull, Keith Urban and ZEDD will be performing live.
Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services said, “We’re excited about the incredible lineup of artists performing and SXSW is the perfect place to debut the first iTunes Festival in the US.”
The iTunes Festival SXSW show will be held at ACL Live at the Moody Theater in Austin, Texas.

Viewers can view live stream of iTunes Festival 2014 SXSW on iPhone, iPad, iPod and Apple TV. To live stream the festival Apple will have to launch latest software update, which is iOS 7.1.
John Gruber of Daring Fireball says, “Apple’s first iTunes Festival in the U.S. starts a week from today at SXSW in Austin. Apple is going to stream the performances to iOS devices using an app, but I’ve heard from a little birdie that the app requires iOS 7.1 (which explains why the app isn’t out yet). That means iOS 7.1 should ship any day now”.
Apple has already released five beta versions of iOS 7.1 and the final version of iOS 7.1 will be released any day now!
