Jailbreak iOS 6.1 Beta 2 Using Redsn0w

Apple released iOS 6.1 Beta 2 to developers and iPhone-Dev Team has updated Redsn0w to jailbreak iOS 6.1 Beta 2. Redsn0w 0.9.15b3 supports tethered jailbreak and works for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 4G and jailbreak for iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad Mini and iPod Touch 5G is not possible.

Jailbreak iOS 6.1 Beta 2

Download Redsn0w 0.9.15b3 and extract the zip file by right clicking.

You will now get redsn0w.exe file, launch the file. Windows users should run Redsn0w as ‘Administrator’.

Click the Extras button.

Click on “Select IPSW” button. Navigate to select the iOS 6.0 firmware file.

From the main page of Redsn0w and click on “Jailbreak” button.

You will get a screen to put your device in DFU Mode.

* Hold down Power (corner) button for 5 seconds.

* Without releasing the Power button, also hold down the Home (bottom center) button along with the Power button for 10 seconds.

* Without releasing the home button, stop holding down the power button for up to 15 seconds.

Select “Cydia” and click on “Next” button to continue with jailbreak process.

The jailbreak process will take some time, do not interrupt.

Once the process gets finished your device will reboot again.

To boot tethered-

Launch Redsn0w again.

Click on Extras button >> Select IPSW button and navigate to your device iOS 6 firmware and then click on Just Boot button. Put your device in DFU mode again. Once your device is in DFU mode it will boot into a Jailbroken state.

Your device is jailbroken running on iOS 6.1 Beta 2.
