NBC has updated its iPad app which now enables the users to watch full length of their favorite shows like like 30 Rock, Community and Parks and Recreation for free without any subscription.Full length episodes are available in nbc.com always.
Earlier, iPad users could watch only clippings of the shows.ABC app for iPad also offers full length of shows to users for free.
The updated iPad version of NBC will for sure be a threat to Hulu Plus as iPad users had to pay $8 per month subscription fee to watch TV shows on their iPad.
Vivi Zigler, the president of NBC Universal Digital Entertainment in an interview said-
“The portal [NBC.com] app has been performing well. The bugs are worked out and we felt like it was the right time to make them available in advance of the start of the fall season.”

The app is of size 5.0 MB and requires iOS 3.2 or later.

The app offers shows like The Office, The Sing-Off, The Biggest Loser and Chuck and it is expected that by coming year it will be adding more shows like The Voice which is a popular one.
