iPhone Dev Team have updated Redsn0w, PwnageTool, cinject and Ultrasn0w to support Rocky Racoon and untethered iOS 5.1.1 jailbreak.
Users who have already jailbroken their iOS device using Absinthe 2.0.x, CLI tool of iPhone Dev Team or Rocky Racoon 5.1.1 Untether then you don’t need to use the above updates.
According to the Dev-Team’ blog Redsn0w 0.9.12b1 allows users to install rocky-racoon in two different ways for A4 devices. One by backup/restore method which is similar to Absinthe and cinject and another is limera1n-based ramdisk install.
Redsn0w 0.9.12b1 has also support for saving SAM tickets as part of the initial ramdisk jailbreak of iPhone4 or earlier models.
iPhone-Dev Team says that those users who unlock iPhone with ultrasn0w or a commercial method, you must use PwnageTool to avoid updating your baseband as they will lose unlock.PwnageTool is only for Mac OS X. PwnageTool can now also untether jailbreak AppleTV2,1 5.0_2B206f.
