The developer behind TinyUmbrella Notcom has released a beta version of TinyUmbrella for Winndows and OS X. With TinyUmbrella you can save SHSH blobs of iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch so that you can downgrade later if required.The latest version of TinyUmbrella has support for iOS 8.1.3 and iOS 8.2.
Before moving ahead, TinyUmbrella can download SHSH blobs of only those firmware which Apple is currently signing. If you are on iOS 8.1.2 then you will be unable download the SHSH blobs for iOS 8.1.2.
In the beta version of TinyUmbrella there are three types of SHSH blobs:
– Update (Restore)
– Erase (Restore)
The SHSH blobs are saved at ~/.tu/.shsh
Steps to follow to clear TinyUmbrella history
TinyUmbrella keeps a log record of devices that are connected it. It continues to download SHSH blobs from Apple sever without connecting your device it. If you want to clear the history of devices that which you have connected to TinyUmbrella, go ~/.tu/.known_devices to clear history.
One thing you should understand, you cannot downgrade your iOS firmware. However, you can download SHSH blobs of firmware which Apple is still signing.
How to save SHSH blobs with TinyUmbrela beta
1. Download the latest version of TinyUmbrella beta for here . It is available for both Windows and OS X users.
2. Install the latest version of Java to use this version of Tinyumbrella. Install latest version of Java from here.
3. Launch TinyUmbrella and connect your device to the PC or OS X. TinyUmbrella will detect your device and download the SHSH blobs.
