Eternal Battle: Android or iOS? What Will You Choose?

One of the most controversial questions is which one is the best operating system for mobile? Some say iOS, some say Android. Sometimes people create a storm over a cup of tea to define either how great iOS is or how great Android is! Due to this sometime some people do some nasty works. Forget about that useless discussion, today I will try my level best to adduce the true facts that make either iOS or Android makes great and the operating system that you should choose.

Android v/s iOS

iOS

iOS is a mobile-based operating system which has been created and developed by Apple. The iOS operating system is only used especially in iPhone and other devices that have been produced by Apple. Apple gives a major update in a year. Currently, iOS 11 is running.  But iOS 12 beta version is also available right at the moment.

Android

Android is a mobile-based operating system which has been created and developed by Google. Basically android is a modified version of Linux Kernel.  Nowadays Android is considered one of the most occupied mobile operating system in the world. Do you know why it has become so popular? It is all because it is an open free source and anyone in the world can get the access and modify according to his need. Android has released their latest operating system named Android 8.0 Oreo. But they have also released Android P in beta version for some limited devices in 2018.

Both these two operating systems are really superb in terms of their features. It is a really little bit tough to choose one over another. I will try my level best to help you to choose the best operating system between these two.

What I Like Most in iOS

There are some certain things in iOS that I like most. Here I am sharing the list of things that I like most in iOS.

• Siri

I hope you are familiar with Siri. If you don’t know about it don’t worry, I am explaining what Siri is. Siri is an artificial intelligence based app. In fact, it works as a virtual assistant. Siri can help you to search anything on the internet, can set reminder or alarm for you or can translate anything for you. I like Siri most due to its witty answers to my questions! If you use it, I hope you won’t feel bored or lonely anymore.

• Security

The most important thing about using a phone is the safety of customer’s data. Apple has a reputation regarding this safety issues. iOS is considered one of the most secured mobile operating system in the world.

• Smooth UI

iOS is pretty much lag free. Because the developer works very hard to develop the software and Apple spends a lot of dollars on it. As a result, both hardware and software in iPhone give customers a lag-free service. That’s why I like iOS most.

What I Don’t Like in iOS

There are some certain things that I don’t like iOS. Some of them are given below:

• Battery Draining

Although the iOS is a great operating system. But users have to suffer a lot with the battery drainage issues in iOS. And trust me if you are a heavy user then you will find all other features useless if you don’t have enough battery life.

• Messy UI

Nowadays iOS has become very much massy and you may need to operate it after watching the tutorials. Things become complicated as a result new users may find it more difficult to use it. As a result, iOS is no more considered as a user-friendly operating system.  For example, 3D touch feature many users are complaining about it as it has become messy and complex.

• No Multitasking Option

One of the most important features that should be kept on iOS is multitasking option. But unfortunately, there is no multitasking option which is very important for power users like us.

What I Like Most in Android

There are some certain features that I like most in Android.

• Available Devices

As iOS is a closed source and Android is an open source the availability of Android is very easy. You will be able to find many devices based on Android but you won’t be able to get devices based on iOS as much as compared to Android.

• Prices

The prices of Android phones are not costlier than iPhone. In fact, you will be able to get a smartphone within around $130 to $300 dollar and that will give you performance like almost flagship level.

• Customization

This is my favorite feature in Android. You can customize your operating system as you like as Android is an open source. You can decorate your interface as you like in Android which is not possible in iOS.

What I Don’t Like in Android

Like everything Android has some drawbacks also.

• Heavy UI

Android has a heavy UI, as a result, it drains the battery a lot. As a result, without a large battery capacity, it is quite impossible to use your phone for one day with a single charge.

• Force Close on Large App/Games

If you are a heavy user like the one who plays a lot of games and lot of apps then I think you should choose android carefully as sometimes android forcedly close the large apps and games.

• Malware Problem

As Android is an open source and anyone can customize according to this sweet will, there is more possibility of getting attacked by the hackers and malware. So be careful when you download any apps.

Apart from these problems in Android I personally think Android is providing a lot more than you pay. From this discussion, we can easily understand that both two operating systems are superb. But if you are a classy user then I think you should go for iOS as it gives the most secure operating system. On the other hand, if you are a person who needs a lot of apps and like customization, I think it will be better to go for Android.
