1. The Proud Family

The Proud Family stars fourteen year old Penny and she’s growing up fast!  From attending school, to babysitting her younger siblings and pushing to gain a bit more independence; the show follows Penny as she experiences everything a young teen goes through. The show also addresses social issues like inclusion, cultural diversity, classism, religion, and more.

Fans will be happy to hear that The Proud Family is coming back with the original cast on Disney+! The release of the sequel show The Proud Family: Louder And Prouder has been confirmed but there is no set release date for the show.

2. Kim Possible

Seasons: 4

Kim Possible is a high school student who enjoys cheerleading, swimming, kung-fu and school. She’s also a freelance hero in her spare time which the show revolves around and her friends are aware of but seem fairly unaffected by her side vigilantism.

While it’s unlikely Kim Possible as an animated TV show will come back anytime soon, the franchise has given us a live action movie a few years ago and a handful of games since conception of the show.

3. Lizzie McGuire

Lizzie McGuire is centered around thirteen year old Lizzie and her life as a middle schooler. The show addresses issues that most teenagers have to deal and how she overcomes them like gaining popularity, trying to fit in, addressing rumors, and more. The show also tackled some deep issues exclusive to female teens like bra shopping, having feelings for your best friend, getting in trouble with the wrong crowd and gender roles.

Fans already know that the franchise did have a self-titled Lizzie McGuire movie that was released nearly twenty years ago. While the lead star Hilary Duff worked really hard on a reboot for the show, Disney cancelled it due to creative differences. The reboot was supposed to focus on Lizzie’s adult life but apparently that narrative was too far from the original storyline for Disney to work with.

4. That’s So Raven

Seasons: 4

That’s So Raven follows teenager Raven Baxter who has psychic abilities that allow her to see tiny glimpses into the future. These glimpses often show endings of situations out of context and in attempts to change the outcome of these situations Raven gets her and her friends into hot water.

The franchise released few DVD releases, books and even video games in addition to the show. That’s So Raven also has two spin-off shows as well titled Raven’s Home and Cory In The House. Both shows focus on the main characters from the original show and what they’re up to in their adult lives.

5. The Suite Life of Zack and Cody

Seasons: 3

The Suite Life of Zack and Cody stars a set of identical teenage twins named Zack and Cody who live in the Tipton Hotel where their mother entertains in their hotel lounge area. Both Zack and Cody routinely cause trouble where everywhere they go and the show follows their futile attempts to get out of it.

The Suite Life of Zack and Cody had a spin-off show called The Suite Life On Deck and a self-titled movie. Fans can find the entire franchise can be found on Disney+.
