iPhone 8 Event- Find Everything You Need To Know

Apple has confirmed its much awaited September 12 iPhone 8 Keynote Event to be held at Steve Jobs Theatre in Cupertino, California. Apple is expected to announce three iPhones- iPhone 7s, iPhone 7s Plus and the much rumored iPhone 8 which will come with edge-to-edge OLED display, facial recognition with 3D sensors, wireless charging and more. The Cupertino giant will also announce Apple Watch Series 3, Apple TV 4K, HomePod, iOS 11, watchOS4 and macOS High Sierra.

What To Expect From iPhone 8 Event?

Three New iPhones

Apple will be revealing three new iPhones in its September 2017 event which includes iPhone 7s, iPhone 7s Plus and iPhone 8.

iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus will not a bigger update. iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus will come in standard 4.7 inch and 5.5 inches, will feature 2GB RAM, iOS 11 and will be powered by the next generation processor.

iPhone 8 will feature 5.8-inch edge-to-edge OLED display, glass body, facial recognition, wireless charging, faster A11 processor and more. iPhone 8 is expected to be priced around $1000.

 

Apple Watch Series, Apple TV 4K

Apple Watch Series 1 was unveiled by Apple in the year 2014 along with iPhone 6. In September 12 event Apple will also introduce Apple Watch Series which will come with LTE support and will work independently of iPhone.

Apple TV 4 was announced in 2015 which will be updated to Apple TV 4K with 4K and HDR support.

 

All the New Software

iOS 11, watchOS4 and macOS High Sierra were unveiled at WWDC 2017 will be officially released to the public.

 

How To Watch Apple September 12 Event Live

You can watch iPhone 8 event live on your iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV or PC.

Apple’s September 12 iPhone 8 Keynote Event will kick start at 10.am Pacific Time in Cupertino, California.

Requirements to watch the live event

Apple uses HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) technology to live stream its events.

Mac

You will require the latest version of OS X and Safari browser to watch Apple’ live iPhone 8 keynote on your Mac.

  • OS X El Capitan v10.11
  • OS X Yosemite v10.10
  • OS X Mavericks v10.9
  • OS X Mountain Lion v10.8
  • OS X Lion v10.7
  • macOS Sierra 10.12

Safari browser-

Safari 6.0.5 or later on macOS.

 

iPhone, iPad 

You need to iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch devices running iOS 7.0 or later to watch the keynote live.

Safari iOS 7.0 or later.

 

Apple TV

To watch the keynote on Apple TV need to have the most recent generation of updated software. You can’t watch the live event on the original Apple TV.

Apple TV 2nd generation software 6.2 or newer.

Apple TV 3rd generation software 6.2 or newer.

Apple TV 4th generation.

Click on the Apple Events icon on the main screen of your Apple TV to watch the live event.

 

Windows PC

If you are on a Windows PC you will require Windows 10 with Edge browser to watch the live streaming of the event.

 

Windows 8, 7 and Android

If you are on Windows 8 and 7 you will not be able to watch the live event even if you are using Safari browser. To watch the live event go ahead and install VLC media for Windows on your PC if not already installed.

Launch VLC Media on your PC and open the Media tab and click on Open Network Streams and paste the live URL of the Apple event.

Android users can also watch the live event by downloading VLC media player for Android and paste the live stream URL in the Network Stream.
