With the release of the iOS 13.2, the Cupertino giant has added a new feature that enables users to delete Siri and Dictation from their iPhone, iPad.
There were reports a few months back that Apple’s contractors were listening to Siri recordings to improve the service. Following the backlash, the Cupertino giant immediately stopped the practice of recording Siri’s voice and stated that it will retain the voice recordings of users who want to opt-in to provide their data.
Delete Siri and Search History In iOS 13
If you don’t want to participate in grading to improve Siri and Dictation, you can opt-out using this privacy feature in iOS 13.
Launch Settings App on your iPhone, iPad running iOS 13.2.
Tap on Siri & Search by scrolling down.
Now, tap on Siri & Dictation History.
Tap on Delete Siri & Dictation History to remove the stored recordings from your iOS device.
If you have opt-in to improve Siri grading process, you should be aware that whenever you use Siri and Dictation feature on your device it will send data which includes your contact names, apps installed on your device, names of photo albums and much more which you have added using Siri to the Apple server. The requests which you make are stored with a random identifier for six months and can be kept for more than two years for improving Siri.
