TinyUmbrella 5.10.04 for Mac OS X and Windows is being released by developer Notcom.
With this new update iPhone 4S users can now save SHSH blobs of 2nd version of the iOS 5.0.1 firmware build 9A406.
If you think that why the need to save SHSH blobs, if Apple stops signing iOS 5.0.1 firmware and by mistake you upgraded to latest firmware then you will be not able to downgrade.In short by saving SHSH blobs you will be able to downgrade to a lower firmware if required.
SHSH blobs are specific to device and hence SHSH blobs of other device cannot be used.
Steps to be followed to save SHSH blobs:
Saving of SHSH blobs of device is easy as you will be required to install the latest version of TinyUmbrella to your computer and then plug idevice to P C>> click on save SHSH button and done.

Although we cannot exploit/restore iPhone 4S SHSHs we still should save them just in case. I’ve just updated TU to support iPhone 4S 5.0.1b “9A406?.

Great article! I used Tiny Umbrella to downgrade my Iphone3G from IOS 4 back to IOS 3. The Iphone became fast again after the downgrade. Tiny Umbrella worked flawlessly and was very easy to use. I can’t wait to get the updated version!
