1.  Clean Junk Files

2.  Clean The Registry

Try to clean registry on your Mac or Windows operating system to see if iTunes error is resolved. To clean the registry you can use Clean Registry for Mac or Windows. Once you have cleaned the registry restart your system.

4.  Update Drivers

Make sure that drivers of your operating systems are updated frequently. Outdated drivers of operating system can lead to error 53.

Mac users should go to iTunes Menu >> iTunes >> Check for updates.

Windows users should go to Menu bar >> Help >> Check for updates.

 

5. Reinstall iTunes

Try to reinstall iTunes to see if it resolves iTunes error issue. To do so,  Add or Remove Programs  >> Uninstall iTunes and the download the latest version of iTunes on your Mac or Windows.
