Turn Off Auto Brightness In iOS 11 On iPhone, iPad

The Cupertino giant released its latest operating system iOS 11 with cool features for iPhone, iPad. iOS 11 is a monumental leap for iPad changing the user experience. iOS 11 for iPad comes with new multitasking feature, Drag and Drop, Split View and more. One of the features which I find annoying is Auto-Brightness in iOS 11. There is no way to change Auto-Brightness from the Display Settings on iPhone, iPad in iOS 11. The Auto-Brightness feature in iOS devices automatically adjusts the brightness of the screen of your device with the kind of environment you are in, it extends the battery life of your device. Apple is discouraging users to disable Auto-brightness on iPhone, iPad. If you want to turn-off/disable Auto-brightness on iPhone, iPad here’s how you can do.

Turn Off/Disable Auto Brightness In iOS 11

Some of the users were thinking that Apple has removed Auto-brightness feature in iOS 11 as it is no more found under Display Settings on iPhone, iPad. Auto-brightness in iOS 11 can be found in Accessibility section under Settings App on iPhone, iPad.

Launch Settings App on iPhone, iPad.

Tap on General.

 

Now, tap on Accessibility.

 

 

Scroll down to Display Accommodations and tap on it.

 

 

Find Auto-brightness and toggle to turn it OFF.

You can always turn -on Auto-brightness back in iOS 11 in future. If you are experiencing battery drain issues in iOS 11 it is better to disable Auto-brightness on your iPhone, iPad.
