Disable Camera Access From The Lock Screen In iOS 10

iOS 10 comes with tons of awesome features and the new lock screen in iOS is quite different. Did you know that now you can access camera just by swiping iPhone screen from left to right to take a quick picture? No need to swipe the lock screen to access the camera icon anymore. You can also play games in iMessage in iOS 10.

If you are not comfortable and want to remove access to to the camera from the lock screen in iOS 10 for security reasons.

Remember, if you disable camera access from the lock screen in iOS 10 in iPhone it will disable your iPhone camera app, you can re -enable later when you want to take pictures.

Disable Camera Access From The Lock Screen on iPhone In iOS 10

Launch Settings App on your iPhone.

Tap on General.

Now, tap on Restrictions.

Enable Restrictions, if not done yet.

Enter Passcode when prompted.

Toggle the switch next to camera icon to OFF.

You can re-enable camera access from the lock screen in iOS 10 by following the above procedure and enable the Camera option again by going to Restrictions under General.
